Sound-absorbing ceilings help provide sound insulation in two different ways: by absorbing sound waves, preventing sound from bounce in the room or preventing sound from propagating into adjacent rooms. Some ceilings have two functions, some of which have one or the other.
When evaluating sound-absorbing ceilings or panels, you need to look at two general ratings: noise reduction factor (NRC) and ceiling attenuation level (CAC). The NRC tells you how much sound the ceiling absorbs to reduce the noise in the room. CAC evaluates the efficiency of the ceiling to block the sound of adjacent rooms.
In rooms that require additional sound reduction - such as home theater, media or game rooms - consider a high performance ceiling that absorbs up to 70% of the sound hitting its surface.
Don't worry about losing the height of the room. Today's suspended ceilings require only 3 to 6 inches of clearance, leaving plenty of room. In addition, there are a variety of visual effects to choose from to meet the decorative needs of your room.
By installing sound-absorbing ceiling tiles or panels under the hard ceiling surface, you can stop the noise at the source and restore the quietness and comfort of your home.
This modular system features modular ceilings, flat and recessed tiles, and is available in a variety of designs that are unique and easy to use. It is specifically designed for installation in areas where maintenance is often required, such as supermarkets, computer suites, classrooms, kitchens, hospitals, offices and other commercial areas.
The metal ceiling can be removed separately to ensure full access to the gap and the lighting solution can be easily integrated.
